First Exposures - Opening Reception June 17, 2017, 4:00PM to 7:00PM, in the Pina Zangaro Gallery

First Exposures is a youth mentoring program for under-served youth in the Bay Area. The program provides a creative outlet for students to express themselves in a safe and supportive environment and encourage them to become articulate, confident, and responsible young adults. Participation in the program is voluntary, and students commit to attend class once a week, each Saturday, for at least one academic semester. Most students and mentors participate in the program for at least one year, often for many more! Mentors come from an array of photographic backgrounds, but all come to the program with a commitment and dedication to arts mentoring. - Erik Auerbach, C.A. Greenlee and Brian Z.Shapiro
